Choosing gaming counsel
Should we start with a project, an opinion or ongoing counsel?
Start with the question you need answered. A defined licensing, launch or compliance question may be a scoped project. A written opinion addresses specified product facts and jurisdictions for a particular purpose. Ongoing counsel fits recurring legal work across the business. We can discuss which scope fits your situation.
Does every gaming business need a 50-state opinion?
No. The right scope depends on your product, where you plan to operate and why you need the analysis. We agree on the jurisdictions and deliverables before work begins. An opinion is analysis, not a license or a guarantee of payment or platform acceptance.
Can you work with a business based outside the United States?
Yes, for U.S.-focused product and business questions within an agreed scope. When a matter calls for local or specialized counsel, we discuss that coordination as part of the engagement. We do not assume advice on non-U.S. law is included.
How are fees arranged?
Defined work may be quoted at a fixed fee. Recurring or evolving work may be hourly, retainer-based or hybrid. We agree on the scope, responsible attorney, timing and fees in writing before work begins.
